Only being on day 9 I am nice and easy on myself. That’s part of the joy in knowing I have set a long term goal of feeling better and more in control of my body and mind . . it’s no rush. For 4 months or more now I have had a pulled muscle in my neck and down my back, sometimes effecting down my right arm also. The fact that my 6 year old still likes to be picked up as if he is only 2 and that I sit at a computer during the day probably has something to do with the stiffness. Amber who was my first (and only so far) yoga teacher quickly noticed I hold plenty of tension in my shoulders. That would be from co-running a business and also having that working mother guilt.
After nearly a week and a half of yoga each day, my shoulder is easing up for the first time after months . . . lets hope there will be a good progress photo in the coming months! (fingers crossed 🙂 )
